Write about 250 words about reflection paper

Afrofuturism recognizes both the power and the pitfalls of automation, and attempts to change narratives in order to develop futures that empower and liberate all kinds of people. What roles have people traditionally played in the past? What kinds of new roles can people play in the future?

For this week’s reflection, I would like you to do research and synthesis. Citing at least one scholarly or journalistic resource, tell me about the human backend of some form of automation (e.g. the people behind automated call centers in India, LOL at NASA, the Navajo circuit designers). Look to the previous slide “The Labor That Makes Automated Futures” for topic inspiration or search headlines.
